We are doing a science project on how to conserve and make water. This seems like the stupidest question in the world but seems possible.

Yes, H2 and O2 react to form H2O (there is no C so it will not make CO2). There are several problems with this as a practical way to make water. It will also generate energy, the reaction is exothermic so you will have to design the system to deal with this energy. The cost of producing O2 and H2 gases is another problem. The amount of water on earth now is pretty close to the same amount there was billions of years ago. When you are talking about conserving water, you are really talking about minimizing how much clean potable water you use. The water that goes down your drain probably goes thru a sewage treatment plant where it is cleaned up and returned to a river or other body of water. hope this helps.

Do I need a license to install Hydrogen fuel injection system on other people’s cars?

I live in California and was planning on getting a business license, but I was wondering if I needed a special license to put after market parts on someone else’s car.
No water goes in the system, only gas. I don’t need anyone’s opinions of whether or not it works.

First of all, hydrogen will never be an energy source. Why? Because hydrogen does not occur naturally on Earth – you have to create it by breaking apart water or hydrocarbons. The production of hydrogen takes more energy than you get back when you burn it. At best, hydrogen will be an energy storage medium (like a battery), it will never be an energy source.

Anyways, hydrogen driving cars – stupid. If you’re going to be using electricity to make hydrogen, just use that electricity to drive the car directly and skip the inefficiencies. Where I think hydrogen will have a use, is in making renewable fuels reliable. Currently, wind and solar are too unreliable to build a large energy grid around. So what I see happening is using extra wind and solar to generate hydrogen and then burning that hydrogen when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining. I think this will be key to making renewable energy wide-spread.
