Can i use A device that uses 60 Hz with a power inverter in europe?
I have a Philips Skype phone.
it says ont he plug 120 volts 60 Hz.
if i plug it into a power inverter and plug it into an outlet with 240 Volts in Europe and 50 Hz will it work?
will it damage my philips skype phone?
I think you mean a transformer — something to step down the 240 volts from the wall to 120 volts that your gear can use. Is that right?
(An inverter changes AC to DC or vice versa.)
There won’t be any problem. The difference between 50 and 60 Hz isn’t a problem on this kind of application. The difference is a concern in electrical gear that uses AC motors.
