What’s wrong with my computer charger/battery?
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-CR220E laptop, i have had it for about 2 years. I noticed a while back that my battery would only last about thirty minutes as compared to the 2 1/2 hours it used to last. Yesterday, my battery charger/ AC adapter died. this is the second one that i have had die. I went and bought a universal charger for it. The universal charger worked the first time I plugged it in, and slightly extended battery life. The second time i plugged it in, the computer will not charge, it says it is charging, but the meter stays at 0% and if i unplug it my laptop dies. It will not charge the battery, and can run plugged in without the battery in. What is the problem and how do i fix it?
You need a new battery. The battery’s life gradually reduces with the passage of time, and eventually it dies. You should be glad yours lasted 2 years. Lots of batteries hardly last that long nowadays.
