Battery maintainer questions permanent rings are too small?
recently picked up the die hard battery maintainer from sears to maintain my boat batteries while they are stored for the winter. Turns out, the ring connectors to permanently attach the charger are too small for the battery terminals. I called Sears and they basically said to return it. Has any one else had this problem? Do you know of another charger to use that would work?
I just use a trickle charger ($10 – $20) on my batteries when stored. Either a 1.5 or 2 amp charger with alligator clips works fine. The one I have turns off automatically when full charge is reached and if charge goes down, it will turn back on.
